The 55 Squadron proved to be one of Fairline’s more popular motor yacht designs thanks to her sleek styling, a comfortable floorplan and excellent open-water performance. Like all of Fairline’s motor yacht designs, she’s built on a deep-V hull with moderate beam and propeller pockets. Her opulent three stateroom interior is arranged with a split-level main deck layout, which features a stylish salon aft and an elevated lower helm and dinette forward. A sunken galley is to starboard, abaft the helm, and a small door off the galley opens to a spacious (and very useful) utility room. A choice of lacquered cherry or maple woodwork is available. Note that both the flybridge and engine room can be accessed from the salon. Additional features include an extended swim platform, a bow and stern thruster, a unique set of curved aft doors opening to the aft deck, rear storage area aft, and an unusually large flybridge.
